Chronic joint pain and joint instability

I have chronic joint pain, affecting my knees, shoulders, wrists, fingers, ankles, spine, and ribs. This has affected me for most of my life and has a significant impact on my ability to carry out activities without pain. I also have muscle and joint weakness and instability.

Standing up and walking can be particularly uncomfortable and painful and I have a history of my knees collapsing.

I may need to sit down. Please be respectful and do not assume that I’m not in pain.

After being sat down for extended periods, my hips, knees, and ankles can seize up and make it extremely difficult and painful to move or to stand up.

I may be using aids to assist with knee stability. Please do not assume that a lack of aids means a lack of knee instability.
